Creating and deleting shifts

Introduction

This page allows you to create shifts for your operations. You can also delete the shifts.

Keep in mind: This page can only be accessed if:

• You have SE4130 — Exact Visual Scheduler in your license.
• The Operations check box is selected at System ➔ General ➔ Settings ➔ Manufacturing settings.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is based on product update 402. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I create a shift? 

1. From the Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Shifts page, click New.
2. At the Shifts page, fill in the code in the Shift code field and click Save.
3. In the Working day section, select the work day(s) for the shift.
4. Fill in the start time and end time respectively for each day.
5. If required, you can create breaks for the shift by clicking  New in the Break section. Fill in the description of the break, the start time and end time.
6. Click Save. 

Keep in mind: All fields with the ! icon are mandatory.

How do I delete a shift?

1. From the Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Shifts page, select a shift.
2. Click Delete.
3. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.

Keep in mind: A shift that is linked to an operation cannot be deleted. You will first need to remove the shift from the operation.
